Cardinals Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Cardinals grabbed a win, 4-3, at Busch Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Texas pitcher Kenny Rogers. Rogers went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Rangers, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
The Cardinals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brian S Giles, who in the bottom of the tenth hit a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Cardinals on top, 4-3.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said St. Louis manager Adam Rabel.
