Chicago Cubs starter Mike Dunne was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-2. In 8 innings, Dunne surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Cubs now have a 4-game winning streak.

The Cubs beat the Cardinals with some clutch hitting. The double by Lance Johnson in the bottom of the first is a good example. With two down, Johnson gave his team the lead, 3-0, when he came through with the big hit.
