|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Francisco Cordova pitched a strong game against the Texas Rangers at Busch Stadium, leading the Cardinals to a 7-0 win. Randy Myers converted his 4th save in 6 tries. The Rangers, at 58-54, have lost 5 straight games.
Karim Garcia had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the bottom of the third inning. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring single, helping St. Louis to the win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Garcia.
