Orlando Citrus Bowl was the site of a competitive game between the Orlando Devil Rays and Florida Marlins.

The Orlando Devil Rays went down to defeat to Chris Nabholz and his Florida teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Marlins. Nabholz, now 12-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Bryan Harvey earned his 32nd save in 34 chances.

It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Charles Johnson, the 1994 Rookie of the Year winner . Johnson contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Florida up, 3-2.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Johnson told the Florida Times.

Florida leads the Federal League East Division by 3 games.
