Benes Hurls Masterpiece
|
It was a dismal game for the Cincinnati Reds with Andy Benes on the hill. The Orlando Sun Rays starter was in top form and made it a long day for Cincinnati with a 1-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 2 hits and piled up 8 strikeouts to pick up the win in a rout.
"No offense to the Reds but that was a cakewalk today," Benes said to BNN reporters following the win.
This season Benes has compiled a 11-11 mark with a 3.98 ERA.
