The Minnesota Twins got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Guzman, who stymied the Milwaukee offense en route to a 3-2 win at Metrodome. The win puts the Twins at 49-62, while the Creams drop to 64-50.

The Twins got a big at-bat from right fielder Larry Walker. For the game, Walker was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Minnesota a 3-1 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Walker told a Minnesota Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
