Bichette Helps Tigers Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Washington Senators, 11-7, at Tiger Stadium. Detroit right fielder Dante Bichette was named player of the game for his superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The losing streak for Washington has now reached 4 games.
An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the second inning. With a runner on 1st, the batter, Floyd Rayford, hit a 2-run home run. It made the score 4-3, Detroit, and helped them go on to win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rayford told a Detroit Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
