Knights Get Road Win, 4-2
|
Charlotte Knights starter Ron Robinson was in fine form against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Tim Burke, credited with the save, is now 11 for 13 in save opportunities. The Knights saw their record improve to 58-58.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Knights had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the seventh, when third baseman Tony Batista hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Roberto Hernandez and made the score 3-1, Knights. Batista was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Charlotte manager Tyler Vuxta.
