It was a good time at Orlando Citrus Bowl, where fans came to watch the Texas Rangers and Orlando Devil Rays get after it.

The Orlando Devil Rays picked up a win at Orlando Citrus Bowl, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 6-1. Starting pitcher John Smoltz, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Orlando now owns a record of 65-51.

Smoltz, the Orlando right-hander, went 9 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits. He collected 11 strikeouts.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Smoltz.
