Johnson Sensational for Mets
The New York Mets picked up a win at Kingdome, knocking off the Seattle Pilots, 8-6. On the mound for New York was left-hander Randy Johnson, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Mets' win now puts them at 63-53.

Johnson gave New York a solid start. The left-hander, who is listed at 6' 10", 230 lbs, allowed 3 runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Mets manager Michael Kritikos. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
