Walk-Off Victory for Dodgers Takes Record to 54-63
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Greg Maddux, who kept New York hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Dodgers win at Dodger Stadium. The 5th-place Dodgers improved to 54-63.
Ryan Klesko was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dodgers pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Runs were at a premium," said Los Angeles manager Andrew Cole.
