Alomar Excels, Kansas City Blows Out Cleveland
The Kansas City Royals handed the Cleveland Spiders a sound defeat, 16-3, at Royals Stadium. Roberto Alomar was a main contributor to the win. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs for Kansas City. Bobby J. Jones was the winner. Over 9 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Andruw Jones had a big 3-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the first inning.
