The Florida Marlins stymied the Minnesota Twins, 5-2, at Metrodome. Todd Walker, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Florida. Butch Henry got the win, improving to 12-9. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Marlins bumped their record to 70-48 with this latest triumph.

Walker came through with some timely hitting for Florida. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Walker hit a 2-1 sinker for a 2-run single. His 45th hit of the season made it 2-0, Florida.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Walker told the Florida Chronicle.
