The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Milwaukee County Stadium, knocking off the Milwaukee Creams, 7-4. Starting pitcher Shinji Imanaka, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Imanaka picked up the win for Boston, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 9-5. The Red Sox raised their record to 45-73.
Boston relied on the bat of Lee Stevens to get the win. The first baseman ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 7-3. For the game, Stevens had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
