Tigers Come Back Late to Clip Dodgers
Detroit beat Los Angeles on the strength of starter Steve Trachsel's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Rigo Beltran earned his 13th save in 22 chances. Even with the win, the Tigers have a dismal 37-81 record.

Detroit took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, shortstop Shane Halter hit a 3-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Trachsel.
