Pena Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cubs
The Chicago Cubs beat the Orlando Devil Rays, 7-6, at Wrigley Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Trot Nixon, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The third-place Cubs have won 8 consecutive games.

With runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the tenth, Geronimo Pena delivered the knockout blow when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single to win it for Chicago. In the contest, Pena went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
