Late Rally by Expos Secures Win
Fans who came to Olympic Stadium watched the Montreal Expos and the Los Angeles Dodgers fight to the finish.

Montreal withstood an impressive performance by Los Angeles center fielder Ron Jones to defeat the Dodgers, 8-7, at Olympic Stadium. Jones was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Dave Leiper got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings.

With no one out in the bottom of the ninth, Todd Hundley barreled up a fastball from Scott Radinsky. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Expos in front, 8-7.

"Exhilarating win," said Hundley.

Montreal is now 72-47.
