It was a fun time at SkyDome, where the Seattle Pilots and Toronto Blue Jays tangled.

The exploits of right fielder Ellis Burks, who finished 2nd in the UL in RBI with 120 in 1988, helped the Toronto Blue Jays defeat the Seattle Pilots, 13-2. Burks hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 5. The winner was Scott Garrelts, who threw 87 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 2 hits.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the first inning. That's when left fielder Dan Pasqua hit a 3-run home run. The Blue Jays went on to win.
