Brown 'Lights Out' in Kansas City Win
|
The Kansas City Royals topped the Cleveland Spiders, 4-1, in Federal League action at Royals Stadium. The player of the game was Kansas City pitcher Kevin Brown. The Royals have an impressive 77-43 record.
Brown, who dominated for Kansas City, earned the victory to move to 21-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 12. Cleveland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Brown.
