Pitcher Jose Rijo was sensational for the Cincinnati Reds in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rijo received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Rijo got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 5.2 innings. Rijo allowed 1 earned run. With the win, Cincinnati elevates its record to 7-6.
