Detroit beat Colorado at Tiger Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jose DeLeon, who earned player of the game honors. The Tigers saw their win-loss record go to 55-64. At the same time, the Rockies fell to 49-72.

Junior Felix struck a blow for the Tigers in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run. It put his team ahead, 4-3. For the game, Felix was 1-5 with a home run.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Felix said.
