Pirates Continue Skid Thanks to Williams, Reds
|
Bernie Williams left his imprint on the 9-0 Cincinnati win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Williams, who is a two-time All-Star, was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Pittsburgh has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Williams's key contribution came in the bottom of the third when he sent a 0-1 changeup into left for a 2-run home run. It put the Reds ahead, 3-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Williams.
