It was a fun time at Shea Stadium, where the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets tangled.

The New York Mets went home winners at Shea Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Tom Glavine. Glavine silenced the Toronto Blue Jays, enabling New York to grab the 7-1 win. The Mets own a robust 77-45 mark.

New York took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from Sammy Sosa. On a 1-2 forkball from Melido Perez, Sosa hit a 3-run home run. That made it 3-0, Mets. For the day, Sosa was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sosa.
