White Sox Lose to Cardinals in Walk Off
St. Louis Cardinals starter Miguel Batista was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Chicago White Sox, 5-3. St. Louis reliever Steve Olin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. David Palmer shouldered the loss. The Cardinals' win now puts them at 68-55.

St. Louis shortstop John Valentin laid a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 15th. It was his 22nd home run of the season. With it, the Cardinals took a 5-3 lead.

"I liked his command," said St. Louis manager Adam Rabel. "Miguel was throwing strikes."
