Rangers Rally For Late Win Over Royals
|
Texas Rangers starter Kelly Downs was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Kansas City Royals, 4-2. Rob Murphy converted his 18th save in 20 tries. The Rangers, at 63-60, sit in 4th place in the Federal League Central Division.
Ken Caminiti contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Texas get the win.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
