Washington Get 3-0 Win Behind Lefty Ritz
|
The Washington Senators got a strong performance from pitcher Kevin Ritz, who stymied the Florida offense en route to a 3-0 win at RFK Stadium. Washington is now 39-84, Florida 57-66.
Ritz made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Washington right-hander encountered little resistance from the Florida hitters. His season record is now 3-14.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Florida manager Matthew Lazear.
