Blue Jays Suffer 12-1 Drubbing
Benefiting from Sammy Sosa's productive game, the New York Mets downed the Toronto Blue Jays, 12-1. Sosa belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Mets. Mike Morgan got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 8 and walking 1. The Blue Jays fall to 6-6 and continue their uneasy start to the 1995 season.

Sosa came through with some timely hitting for New York. With the score 3-1 in the top of the fifth and one down, Sosa hit a 1-1 cutter for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 6-1, New York.
