Creams Prove Rude Guests, Win 4-2 at St. Louis
|
The Milwaukee Creams got a stellar performance from pitcher Tommy Greene, who handcuffed the St. Louis offense en route to a 4-2 win at Busch Stadium. Steve Bedrosian was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 10 save opportunities. The Creams bumped their record to 70-56 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the fifth, Milwaukee designated hitter Ken Caminiti had a productive at-bat. With the bases empty and no one out, Caminiti stroked a solo home run to left. It made the score 1-0, Milwaukee. For the game, he was 1-4 with a home run.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Caminiti told the Milwaukee Times.
