Senators Stumble, Lose to Expos
The Montreal Expos topped the Washington Senators, 8-2, in United League action at Olympic Stadium. The player of the game was Montreal pitcher and Detroit, Michigan native Pat Hentgen. Montreal leads the United League East Division by 7 games.

Leo Gomez had a big 2-run home run for the Expos in the bottom of the third inning. With Montreal leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Jim Neidlinger and stroked the home run to left. It was his 20th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Expos ahead, 4-1.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Montreal skipper David Polakoff.
