Seattle rode a fine outing from starter Cliff Brantley to victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Brantley went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-12. The 4th-place Pilots now have a 4-game winning streak.
Contributing to the Seattle win was Esteban Beltre. In the top of the eighth, the 29-year old third baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, the Pilots in front.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Beltre said after the game.
