Orioles Drop Another One
|
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 9-2, in United League action at Memorial Stadium, with Toronto shortstop Tony Fernandez named player of the game. The Orioles, at 50-76, have lost 6 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Will Clark, the six-time All-Star . Clark contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Toronto up, 3-0.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Baltimore manager Daniel Ward.
