Tigers Turn Back Mets, 3-2
|
Tiger Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Mets.
Detroit Tigers starter Doug Drabek was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 3-2. Detroit is 5th in the United League East Division with a record of 60-66.
Jose R Herrera contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Detroit get the win.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Detroit manager Julio Izquierdo.
