Arizona right-hander Floyd Youmans pitched his team to victory over the Oakland Athletics at Oakland Coliseum. The final score was 4-2. The Diamondbacks bumped their record to 64-63 with this latest triumph.

The Diamondbacks grabbed the lead in the top of the seventh. With two out, Moises Alou, who is tied for 6th in the UL in doubles with 28, hit a 2-run home run off Ramon A. Garcia, putting Arizona in front, 4-1. For Alou, it was his 27th home run of the season.

"It's a mindset," said Youmans. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
