Pilots Lose, 4-1, at Dodger Stadium
|
It was a good time at Dodger Stadium, where fans came to watch the Seattle Pilots and Los Angeles Dodgers get after it.
Los Angeles rode a fine outing from starter Bill Pulsipher to victory over the Seattle Pilots at Dodger Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Pulsipher, now 15-5, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Scott Radinsky was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 29 of 31 save opportunities.
Chris Brown put Los Angeles in front, 3-1, when he took Randy Johnson downtown. His solo home run came with one out in the bottom of the third. It was his 21st home run of the season.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Los Angeles manager Andrew Cole.
The Dodgers now have a record of 60-68 with the win over Seattle.
