Reds Prove Rude Guests, Win 7-4 at St. Louis
Benefiting from Eric Davis's productive game, the Cincinnati Reds downed the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-4. Davis was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Reds. Cincinnati starter Jim Abbott was credited with the win after throwing 123 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 5-3. Cincinnati is now riding a 4-game win streak.
