Stairs, Reds Too Much for Yankees
The Cincinnati Reds powered past the New York Yankees, 12-4, at Yankee Stadium. Matt Stairs was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. The Yankees fall to 6-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 1995 season.

Bret Barberie gave Cincinnati a good at-bat in the top of the fourth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single to help send Cincinnati to the win.

Barberie said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
