Devil Rays Lose to White Sox, 7-2
|
Orlando second baseman Craig Biggio was sensational. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Chicago beat the Devil Rays, 7-2. Biggio was named the player of the game despite the loss. Eric Plunk earned the win to go to 12-8. He allowed 1 earned run on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. The White Sox now own a record of 57-71.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Todd Zeile put Chicago in front, 3-0, with a 2-run home run. The White Sox went on to win the ballgame.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Zeile.
