Cincinnati Reds starter Jose Rijo turned in an exceptional performance against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, resulting in a Cincinnati win, 4-1. The Reds have now won 5 straight.
Dave Nilsson contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Cincinnati get the win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rijo told the Cincinnati News.
