Dodgers Squelch Blue Jays Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a stellar performance from pitcher Aaron Sele, who handcuffed the Toronto offense en route to a 3-0 win at Dodger Stadium. Sele, the winner, moves to 7-10. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Los Angeles has now won 3 in a row.
The Dodgers got an important contribution from third baseman Chris Brown, who in the bottom of the fifth stroked a 2-2 slider into left for a solo home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 2-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Sele said.
