Rangers Come Back Late, Nip Pirates
|
The Texas Rangers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-7, at Arlington Stadium today. Leading the charge for Texas was catcher Jorge Posada. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. After today's action, Texas sits at 64-65, while Pittsburgh falls to 75-54.
Brian McRae, who is tied for 10th in the FL in triples with 5, aided the Texas cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Texas manager Sean Norman.
