Twins Lose to Royals in Walk Off
Kansas City and Minnesota duked it out at Royals Stadium and the Royals came out victorious.

Minnesota pitcher Kevin Ritz gave the Royals all they could handle, but in the end, Kansas City left Royals Stadium with a 5-4 win. Ritz allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6 innings. Kansas City reliever Rod Beck picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Trevor Hoffman shouldered the loss.

Ray Lankford, who finished 5th in the FL in OPS with .935 in 1991, contributed to the Kansas City win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
