23-year-old Oakland Athletics pitcher Matt Morris had a strong outing against the Detroit Tigers at Tiger Stadium today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 9 in the 4-0 win and walked 1 while surrendering 3 hits.

"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.
