Multi-HR Day for Belle as Senators Overpower Dodgers, 4-3
The Washington Senators beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-3, at Dodger Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Albert Belle, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Mark Wohlers notched his 3rd save in 4 chances. Washington has a 3-game win streak, while Los Angeles has lost 3 in a row.

Belle had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 sinker from Ricardo Rincon, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Senators a 4-2 lead. It was the 43rd home run of the year for Belle.

"It was a good effort all around," said Belle.
