Cardinals Get Road Win, 5-2
|
St. Louis got a strong outing from Terry Mulholland as the Cardinals defeated the New York Yankees, 5-2, at Yankee Stadium. St. Louis is now 74-57, New York 54-76.
It could have been a different outcome for St. Louis, had it not been for Jim Edmonds, the former first round draft pick . Edmonds contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put St. Louis up, 3-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mulholland told the St. Louis Daily News.
