Mussina Now 14-7 After Subduing Rangers
|
Not everyone stuck through the 50-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Pitcher Mike Mussina was sensational for the Cincinnati Reds in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Texas Rangers. Mussina received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Cincinnati goes to 79-52. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
Mussina scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Reds. With the win, Mussina goes to 14-7 on the year with 234 strikeouts.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Mussina.
