Victory Pushes Giants Record to 71-59
|
San Francisco pitcher Omar Daal did his part in helping his team beat the Baltimore Orioles, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Daal, now 8-7. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Randy Myers got the save, his 27th in 31 chances.
Rondell White played a key role in the win. The San Francisco left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, White went 1-4 with a home run.
White called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
