Sun Rays Fall to Miranda and Rangers, 6-1
|
The Texas Rangers racked up a win at Orlando Citrus Bowl, bumping off the Orlando Sun Rays, 6-1. Angel Miranda, who started for Texas, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Texas goes to 57-74, while the Sun Rays fall to 72-60.
Miranda dominated for Texas, raising his record to 9-10. Orlando hitters had few good at-bats against the left-hander, who scattered 1 hit over 9 innings while striking out 8.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Miranda.
