Avery Sensational for Orioles
|
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Kingdome, knocking off the Seattle Pilots, 4-3. Starting pitcher Steve Avery, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Baltimore is now 52-80, while Seattle is 70-61.
Avery, now 9-11, scattered 1 hit over 8 innings for the Orioles.
"I was a little disappointed," said Seattle manager Robert O'Neill. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
