Dodgers Take Nail-Biter Over Expos
|
Montreal pitcher Charles Nagy gave the Dodgers all they could handle, but in the end, Los Angeles left Dodger Stadium with a 3-2 win. Nagy allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings. The Dodgers bumped their record to 77-54 with this latest triumph.
Mickey Tettleton hit a run-scoring triple off Chris Bosio in the bottom of the tenth, which put the Dodgers in front, 3-2. Tettleton had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We were in it," said Montreal manager David Polakoff. "We just didn't score enough runs."
