Toronto Blue Jays starter Hipolito Pichardo had all his pitches working at Bank One Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-1 Toronto win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Pichardo went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 17-7. At 76-55, the Blue Jays are currently third in the United League East Division.

In the top of the second, Dan Pasqua hit a 2-run home run for Toronto. The 6th home run of the season for the Toronto left fielder put the Blue Jays on top, 2-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Pasqua told the Toronto Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
