Spiders Walk Off with Win
The Cleveland Spiders managed to get by the Chicago Cubs, 3-2, at League Park. Cleveland pitcher Bob Sebra took player of the game honors. Cleveland is now riding a 3-game win streak.

With runs few and far between, the Spiders had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Cleveland came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when first baseman Howard Johnson delivered a solo home run. The home run was hit off Mike Holtz and made the score 3-2, Spiders. Johnson went 1 for 4 with a home run.

"Both teams played hard," said Cleveland manager Wilson Ogle.
